Brian's Party!!!

Today was Brian's Party!!! We went to Jump Zone which is a big wharehouse kind of a place that has all these jumpy things inside!! The party was for an hour and 45 minutes with jumping for the first hour and 15 minutes followed by cake and presents in the party room! Brian had a great time at the party. Almost all the kids in his class came and he was happy about that. Here are some pictures of Brian's fun day. Above is a picture of Brian going into his favorite jumpy thing....a dinosaur one!!
This is what the inside looked like (thanks Grandma for climbing in there to get the picture!!) This is Weston and Brian climbing the wall.
Amber was the dream baby throughout the party. She slept the ENTIRE time!! Didn't wake up once. I guess that we just need to make a tape of lots of noisy people and play it at night so that she will sleep as well then as she did this afternoon.
Aaron was a little leery of all the people. It didn't help that the party was in the middle of nap time. I thought that he might fall asleep, but he never did. He just went from laying on Grandma's shoulder, to Mommy's to Daddy's!!
Here is Brian after coming down one of the big slides that were there.

Weston had a great time too!! Everyone was pretty sweaty and tired after all that hard playing!!!
Brian coming down a huge slide. The doors that you see on the right hand side are the party rooms.
Here is the whole party gang!!! Barth had them do funny faces! Most of these kids are from Brian's primary class. The others are their siblings.
Here we are in the party room. In this picture there is a mystery child. He is the second one on the left. We are so new to the ward that we didn't realize that he didn't belong to anyone in our group. Most of the other people at the party were new too, and everyone just figured that he belonged to someone else. My visiting teacher was the one that discovered the little boy and we got the staff of the place to come and find the party that he belonged with. Oh my!!! He even enjoyed a juice box and ice cream before we discovered him!

Isn't Brian cute? Here he is getting ready to blow out the candles. He had such a great time being the center of attention. Grandma said that his smile was so big that it almost froze on his face!! The fun balloon hat that Brian has on was done by a guy in our ward. We had him come and make balloons for all the kids at the party. He even made a monkey for the kid who wasn't supposed to be there.
Opening presents....what a blast!!!
Weston and his balloon dog! Don't you love the blue mouth from the cake? Too bad you don't live here Jessie....I could have hired you to make the cake instead of having to buy one from Krogers!!!

Look....I am actually at the party!!! I got dressed and combed my hair for the occasion! :) This was the only way to go for a party right after having a baby by c-section. All I had to do was show up and bring the cake. Everything else was done by the staff. They even wrote down who gave Brian each gift!!
This was taken in the party room at the very end of the party. The kids all liked their fun balloons!! We had a great day!

3 Weeks Old

It is so hard to believe that Amber is 3 weeks old already!!!! Where has the time gone to! I only wish that the last 3 weeks of being pregnant could have gone as fast as these first 3 weeks of Amber's life have gone!! :) Here are some pictures taken today of our little sweet pea!!! She is a good baby so far and really only seems to fuss when she has a bubble!!! Let's hope that the good trend continues!
This cute little dress was a gift from my Grandma Whitley!! It looks so cute on her I think!

Don't you just love those chubby cheeks? I weighed myself today and then weighed with her and the difference was 11.5 lbs!! She is getting so big! Let's just hope that she doesn't get as big as Weston was as a baby!!!!
So sweet! I am so glad to have our precious little girl!!! I am so blessed!

More Pictures

There is not too much going on here since I can't really do anything, so you will just have to be content to see pictures of around the house. Here are some more pictures of my beautiful children!!!! It seems like Amber is changing everyday and so I have to post lots of pictures of her so that you can see how she is growing. I think that she weighs about 10 lbs now!!! This top picture I took because Aaron always wants to stick the binky in Amber's mouth (even if she is asleep!!) What a big helper he is!!
Amber and her biggest brothers!! They think that she is so cute!!

These are some good looking boys if ever I have seen some!!!
Here is Amber on Sunday too!! I love all the pink and frilly things!! She always has a bow on her head!! :) Better get used to it! I waited a long time to be able to have ribbons and bows at this house!!!!!
And this is what she looks like this morning. We went with Grandma to take Weston to school this morning and then to drive by a house. She fell asleep in the car and is currently sleeping in her car seat!! She certainly looks bigger than the almost 3 weeks old that she is!!

I'm Back!!!!

Here is my lovely, sleeping little girl!! I just love it when they smile in their sleep!!!!
I know that everyone has been missing seeing pictures of my beautiful new baby!! Here are lots of pictures that we have taken this last week of Amber. Thanks so much to my hubby for fixing my computer and to Steven for helping when we ran into a glitch!!!
Grandma is here and a big help with the boys and little Amber!! I've been able to nap every day and to get lots of rest!!! Thanks Momma!
Here is Amber at 10 days old!! It was Brian's birthday and she was dressed up for the big occasion! It is so much fun to dress up a little girl!!!! (as a side note~ the bow that she has on is one of the ones that I made for her before she was born!! Kinda big, but I LOVE it!!)
Grandma and Amber!!!
Weston is such a good big brother!!! He loves his little sister and wants to shower her with kisses!
Just looking adorable!!! She is finally starting to wake up! This was taken a few days ago when she finally opened her eyes for more than 10 minutes at a time.
Here is Amber hugging her big brother Brian!! Notice her little arm up by his chin!!!
I just love all the cute faces that she makes.
And lastly, our little Aaron Baron!!! He is adjusting to having a new little sister in the house. It sure does help that Grandma came with M&M's to make that transition easier for him!!!! He is loving all the attention that he is getting from her!!!!

Guest Blogger....Grandma

Little Amber is the most beautiful baby!! She is two weeks old today and very, very sweet and good! Grandma is enjoying holding her and playing with Aaron, Brian, and Weston. Today we went outside and played baseball. Brian can hit the ball clear out of the ballpark (aka the basketball court behind their apartment)! Weston is great at pitching the ball (he's also a good hitter). He can throw so well that I don't even have to move an inch to catch it! Aaron likes to play "pac man." He runs around the white lines on the basketball court just like a little pac-man person. He also likes to "shoot" the basketball. That means he wants me to pick him up and balance him on my chest while I take the ball and toss it in the basket for him. He also likes to dance...you have never seen any little child dance like Aaron! I have been driving Weston to school. He is so smart that it would amaze you. Brian played with his fire engine today. It just got new batteries, so he was very happy! Little Amber has been mostly sleeping, but today she seemed to be leaving the babystage where they just sleep and eat. She has been studying us intently. The boys really love her alot. I have been calling her "Miss Pink." She has so many little pink things that she looked funny this morning when Kristie put her in a little purple sleeper. The boys love to give Amber kisses and hugs. They are so very sweet with her. Yesterday we went over to the pool by the apartment office. It has been hot here in Kentucky. They are actually in a drought and everything here is dried up and DEAD!! No kidding! Anyway, we went to the pool for a swim yesterday afternoon. Weston did some great tricks for grandma. Brian was a real dunker....he liked to go UNDERwater over and over again. He liked to get the dive sticks from the bottom of the 3 foot water. Little Aaron took a few minutes to get warmed up (literally!). He and I sat on the side of the pool with our feet dangling for about 10 minutes. Then inch by inch we went up our legs. The water is FREEZING in this place!!! I am not used to Kentucky pool water....I'm used to Texas bath/pool water. Anyway, once Aaron got going he was a little FISH. Yes, he LOVES the water. He must be a WHITLEY :) All the boys love the water so I guess they are all part Whitley!! We stayed for about an hour. Kristie and Baby Amber sat in the shade (it was hot but they liked getting out of the house). We drove over to the pool so Kristie didn't have to walk too far. The cool water was quite refreshing. I am getting a bit tired after such a long "vacation," but I am enjoying being here with the grandbabies quite a lot. I am very sorry but I somehow accidentally broke the memory card reader on Kristie's computer. We have been trying to get it fixed again. That means that there are not up-to-the minute pictures being posted of this very beautiful and adorable little grand daughter of mine. Steven, if you read this....please work your magic...would you?

Happy 5th Birthday Brian!!

Sorry, my computer is having difficulties and so there are no pictures with this post. I wanted to post a happy birthday to my little Bri-Bri!!! He is such a good little boy and it is hard to believe that he is 5!!! He had a fantastic day today full of presents and fun. Brian loves to pretend and use his imagination! He loves fire trucks and always has a kind word for everyone! He is always concerned for others and gets upset if he thinks that someone is being left out! He loves to play outside and dearly loves his brothers!!! He is a great little helper to me and loves to help me clean or run errands or whatever!!! He is my faithful little friend! So, Happy Birthday little Brian! I love you and am grateful that you are a part of our family!

The First of Many

Last night we had the first of many LONG nights I am sure!!! Amber woke up at 11:45 and wouldn't nurse, or take the binky, or settle down......for 4 hours!!! Woke up Aaron too! So then it was like a party at 3 am! :) I am sure that there are more of those nights to come, but luckily, I was able to sleep in this morning and take a good nap this afternoon. Amber also had her one week check-up this morning. Things went great. She had lost to 8 lbs 14 oz when she left the hospital on Sunday afternoon. Today her weight was up to 9 lbs 3 oz so just a few more oz and she will be back to her birth weight!!! She is still jaundice, but as long as it doesn't get worse, she is a-okay!!! That is the update from here for today. Overall we had a good and restful day!! I will post more pictures tomorrow maybe!!

More Amber Pictures

Here are more pictures of cute little Amber! I just can't get enough of her chubby little cheeks! She is still a little jaundice as you can see in the pictures, but seems to be doing great!

Just had to take a picture of her next to the beautiful roses that Barth gave me when she was born!
Here she is, awake and alert!
Don't you just love that silky blanket? It is so soft!
Closer up- such a pretty girl!
Big brother Brian holding her! The boys just love to hold her and help out!!!

Home!!!!

Here is a quick post to let everyone know that we made it home safe and sound today!!! I had a very restful few days in the hospital and once I got my pain medicine problem worked out, slept even better!!! Amber is good so far and sleeps a lot (although I think that this is partially due to my medicine!) We will see how well she sleeps tonight. I was lucky to have a hospital where I could send her for the night time and just have her come in for feedings. It made for a better recovery I think. I am feeling rather bushed after the half hour trip home though, so I will make this short! Amber looked so cute in her going home outfit today that I couldn't help but take a few zillion pictures of her! Here are some of the better ones. I can't help it, but I think that she is just SO DARN ADORABLE!!! I am not prejudice or anything!!!!!! :) Anyway, enjoy the pictures and I will write more in the next day or so when I have a little more energy.

Amber was bushed after that long photo session!!! What a cute little sleeper huh?
And here are the proud big brothers come to take Mommy and Amber home!!!
Here we are...ready to roll!! Weston was a little too wiggly and giddy while taking this picture and it turned out a little fuzzy! Sorry!
And lastly, miss pink in all her pink glory coming home!!!!

One Day Left To Go

Kristie and Amber are doing well. They should be coming home tomorrow afternoon. I am sure that Kristie will have a lot to blog about then.
