Sad Day with a good ending
Yesterday was a sad day at our house. Weston's little fish died when it flopped out of its holding bowl. I was going to clean out the fish bowl after nap time, but I guess that the bowl that I had put little Fireball in while he was waiting for fresh water was too small. When I found him on the counter I put him back in the water since I had no idea how long he had been out, but he ended up dying anyway!! Weston was pretty sad about his little fish. We had a little funeral service for him and talked about what a good fish he was. After that we went to Petco and got a new fish for Weston. Weston wanted another red fish. He got another red Beta and named him-- Lightening McQueen Fireball Fishy Yorke!! He is smaller than the last fish and is kind of a orangish red. So, at least the day turned out okay even though we were sad to loose our other fish!!

Laurel Sleepover
As many of you know, I am the advisor of the Laruels (or 16 to 18 yr old girls) at church. Last night, the Young Women's president had a sleepover for the Laurels at her house. We had a nice dinner with a spiritual message. After that we all headed downstairs for games and fun. The girls had a great time and are such a joy to teach. I was a little apprehensive when I was first called to teach them since most of my callings have either been music or with the nursery aged kids. I have really enjoyed teaching the youth though. We had a fairly good turn out. Only 2 girls did not come.
Here they are acting crazy!

From L to R the girls are: Heather, Catherine, Jessica, Emily, Rochele and laying down is Megan!

Aaron and the Shape Sorter
This morning Weston brought Aaron our shape sorter over to play with. Aaron doesn't really like it because, even though we keep working with him on it, he still doesn't get the whole idea that each shape has its own hole!! Anyway, he was pleased to find that the duplo blocks that he had been playing with fit nicely into each one of the holes. He had so much fun putting the blocks into the shape sorter. It was just so cute that I had to get a picture of him loading up the shape sorter with the blocks.
Here he is at the first. Notice the star block that has been unsuccessfully shoved into the circle's spot. But, Aaron is realizing that his lego will fit!!

Wow!! Did that really go in there the first time?!!
Here let me try that again to see if these fit as well!
This is a fun game I think!

Weston's Art
Aaron was crying about something the other day, which is fairly common for him lately. During this crying episode, Weston came up to Aaron and said, "I'll make something to cheer you up Aaron." Then he promptly headed for the kitchen table and his art box. About 10 minutes later he came back with this picture of his little brother. It was just so sweet. I especially love that he drew him in his Texas Rangers outfit!! Weston is such a good little helper for his younger brothers!!

Here is a picture of Aaron taken about a week ago. It is not the best picture of him, but it is typical. Aaron loves to hang on my legs and cry if he doesn't get what he wants!! I like this picture though because you can see so many of his teeth!! He finally has all of his molars!! YAY!!

Pictures from 1-20-07
Weston came up to me this afternoon and wanted to take a picture of me. His exact words were, "Mommy, can I take a picture of you because you are the best Mommy in the World?" So, who could resist? I said sure. He took a good picture. After that I decided to take pictures of each one of the boys. The ones of Weston and Brian were a little washed out, but I still wanted to post them. We are supposed to get an ice storm tomorrow afternoon right around church time. I am anxious to see if we will actually get the ice or if it will slide right past us!! Enjoy the pictures.

Weston in the snow
Alright, well, here is Weston in the snow. This morning I went to go get our new car insurance and it was starting to sleet. I decided that the sidewalks and roads were slick enough that I didn't want to have to drive in it this afternoon when it was time to get Weston and so I went and picked him up early from school. He was very excited to play in the snow!! The sleet is supposed to taper off and then we are suppoesd to get freezing rain. It is only about 26 outside. We had lots of fun playing in the snow with Weston and then came in and enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate. We will go and play a little more later on!!
Can you tell he is excited about the snow?

Snow!!!!!!!!
Yea!!! It is snowing outside!! We woke up to a thin layer on the ground. School was not cancelled or delayed, but at the rate the snow is falling, I wouldn't be surprised if we get a call soon saying that they are sending the kids home early. We took these pictures right after taking Weston to school. Brian was really excited to make snowballs!!! He kept throwing them at me!!! Aaron just thought that it was really neat!! Enjoy our pictures. We are so excited that it is snowing. It is supposed to be turing to sleet this afternoon. I guess we will see!!

Aaron wouldn't stay still for me to get a picture, so this was the best one that I got!! You can see how big the snowflakes are here. They are really coming down!!

Bri Bri really enjoying the snow!!

Catching snowflakes!!
Weston was really bummed that he had to go to school. He got to play in the snow for just a minute before school. Hopefully we will get lots of snow that he can play in later!!

An Afternoon at the Park
Today we decided to go to the park right after picking up Weston from school. It has been quite rainy here lately and it was finally fairly good weather. Today it was cool but not too cold (high 50's) Weston, Brian and Aaron had a great time playing as usual. We like to go to the park since we don't have a yard to play in.
Well, you know that I post these in reverse order so that they can be read in order, and I noticed as I was going into this last post that there weren't many pictures posted of Aaron, so.. this post is all Aaron pictures and the other 2 posts have more pictures of Weston and Brian.
Aaron at the top of the slide. He was so pleased to have been able to climb and slide all on his own. He is getting to be quite independent.

Aaron was determined to walk up these stairs and not crawl. He did a really good job and was so pleased every time that he made it to the top!
Here is a rock for you Mommy!
More of Aaron going up the steps. He had a blast at the park today as did Weston and Brian.
Playing at the Park
Brian loved to slide down the slide with Aaron. He is such a good big brother.
Weston pretending to drive the bus to school. This is one of their favorite games to play at this park.
Nothing like a brother to play with at the park. I am glad that Weston and Brian are such good friends.

More of the Park
Here are more park pictures. Weston and Brian spent most of their time on the sand volleyball court playing in the sand!! They had a ball!
Weston coming out of the climbing tunnel.
Running races! They love to run on these cool side by side cement strips. We just figured that they must be for racing and so the boys have to race every time we come here!!
Brian on the big slide!
